Thanks

it is normal at the first launch ... when the car did some meters it should start smoothly

the back and forth motion is also caused by that

you won't have this at race starts if you drive your car a few meters before you start (which basicly every one does anyway) and then roll to the startline and make sure your car is not pushed back!

make sure you have an updated esc (firmware 0.6/0.7 or 4.6/4.7)

if you know what firmware is on your esc then i can give further advice

Not sure, i believe that it is one of the newer ones similar to the genius 100. Is there an easy way to tell? Bought it beginning of the year if that helps.

When I look at the parameters with the handheld programmer I can change the timing of the ESC. I have 17 options that I can adjust. I will send for an update but only when I get a break in racing in December. It has the 4 modes and beeps on startup to tell you what mode its in.

Is there any other differences between the two software versions that I could see?

Is this the same for the Genius 95? Where do I send it and how long will the update take?

TIA

4 modes = old

5,5T standard rotor is bonded
gearing shouldbe similar when using a 12mm mag

btw: the new software (stock modes) needs the pc interface + software to be changeable .. the handheld can only be used for mode 0 - 5

Usually big computer stores sells com->usb adaptors.I bought mine on staples.
Genius 120 is bundled with an usb cable not sure if it works on older ESCs without software upgrade but Martin will let us know soon.

I wonder also if genius95 is still on production and if those are loaded with the new software with those new stock modes available on 120.

the usb interface needs the software update to work

all left genius 95 are sold with the old software unless they are specially ordered with the update installed
