some setings arenīt available for 7.2 firmware.

If you have 7.2 firmware ESC version you should see this:

If you have 10 firmware or higher ESC version you should see this:

If you need to swap the firmware version just click on the menu Version or Alt+v it should opens this window:

Hope this helps.

Has he uploaded from his ESC before he's said that options are missing?? The Software defaults to the options that were available for 4.x speedos until you upload from an actual ESC.

Craig,

for settings of the v7.2 best to follow the original instructions for that
http://www.graupner.de/fileadmin/dow...are_V_7.2_.pdf

the better software to use for the fw7.2 is actually 1.4.0.25 and set the version as jorge pointed out. in 1.4.0.25 it is the middle option.
this will give you the special settings screen as it used to be in older software.

unfortunately it won't reach the speeds that can be reached with the genius2 controllers unless you update to fw8.

that is fair enough and understandable.
gm speed controls always give you a smooth control actually even with the straight away rocket ship modes
but for now:
the fw7.2 standard mode6 is always a safe place to start from
if you convert the following text below to a .gda file you have martin hofers advised 13.5T program for fw7.2
i think it was quicker then the std modes.

make a text file, put this text in and save as .gda (add your own transmitter data in the as genius software!)

Few questions

Sensor cable, looking for a longer version anyone point me in a direction here running 12th scale kinda need something which is about 180mm

Second off I could only use a Novak 10.5 motor due to the sensor cable issue

Did a factory reset, geared from 44 rollout to 56 and could not match the time set with my older speed controller.

Can anyone point me in the right direction

esc is the GM75
motor options are sp v3 10.5 and lrp x12 10.5 or Novak 10.5

depends a bit on your motor and tracksize
but indoor i'd say you'd end up somewhere between 6.5 and 8

for a longer sensor cable there are two choices.
the cleanest one is to find this cable 2894.8
http://shop.graupner.de/webuerp/servlet/AI?ARTN=2894.8
but that has been out of stock for a while now(i'm waiting for them to)
the other choice is to use a normal cable (or the cable coming out of some motors from the factory) and change to the GM connection with 2894.9
http://shop.graupner.de/webuerp/servlet/AI?ARTN=2894.9

with 1S be sure to set your voltage cuttoff between 2.5V and 3V
also check the values in the telemetry for possible motor temperature sensor values that seem to high
for instance corally and graupner sport motors can have the temperature cuttoff value set to 125
also don't run fixed timings like the TC settings.
start finding something a sweet spot around 10-15.

in TC the sp V3 the timing on the motor was turned to max+ i think you can also try to do this.

a good start might be the 10.5 setting from the euros found here
http://www.gm-racing.de/rwdownload/index.php?dl=145
remember to import your own transmitter values.
if the motor starts awkward try to set the frequency to "8khz with adjustable drain limit"

Martin, can you clarify something for me please.

On the graupner website, it says the motor has a 12.3mm rotor.

On demonpowerproducts, they say its a 12.5mm 1600 gauss rotor.

may I just conclude that the correct one is directly off the graupner?

What is the biggest rotor available for the GM motors? I will require alot of torque on our small/med size track with many stop start corners.

secondly, going by a previous posters question, will SPv3 rotors fit?

I've just put a 1300 purple gauss rotor in a SP 13.5 v3.0 and it fits. Need to take care the sensors are not going to be hit and shimming needs a little thought.

Hi all,

Im looking at getting a GM 75 for 10.5.... however the reason i avoided GM is because when i ran the 2009 GM 120 with firmware 7.2 using my KO universe on 40mhz it gave me bad interference... i also noticed at a national that on the 2010 version, must of been around firmware 12 at the time (back in May) that a friend had the same experience as me, and had to borrow a 2.4ghz set

Has anyone had any experience of this issue? as i dont want to waste my money and wondered if this has been solved with the GM 75 or latest firmware.

Thanks
