I installed my GM75 today and did the setup to select mode 9. All good but when I used the throttle with the sensor cable in there was no movement. I took the sensor cable out and the motor works. Tried another sensor cable and even another motor but no joy. The lights change but the motor does not turn.

I was able to connect the Speedo to my laptop and read out the settings. Is there something that I need to set to use sensored mode?

Can I also ask what software I need to use to update my GM75 to v13?

I downloaded software from GM but I get an error invalid id (not at my laptop so can't remember the exact message)?

GM Motors - one is and the other is a Tekin...

I have now downloaded software to do the upgrade to v13 but when I hit the program button after selecting the .bin file I get;

Reset Data Receive
then after some scrolling I get Found not target device!!

I also get Device Id Receive Fail. Retry.

I have tried doing the reset and starting again.

Any ideas?

I will give the guys are Schumacher a call on Monday as they are always helpful but I thought I would try here as it's the weekend.

Sorted on getting it upgraded to v13 - found the instructions posted previously;

open upgrader
browse for firmware
make sure comport is correct
connect usb wire to speedo
push and hold the set button on the speedo
click program
push the button on the usb dongle
see the program doing it's job
when it's doing "flash programming xx%" you can release the set button of the speedo

Martin - is there anything specific that I have to set to use the GM75 in sensored mode - I thought that sensored v sensorless was automatic...

Have you got the phase wires soldered on in the correct order?

That would be my guess too. I know on older speedos it didn't matter but the timing advance stuff it does.

Default Corally pro red series motors

Hello Martin, I saw in your car pic you use a corally pro red series motor, it seem similar to graupner sport motor, and looking to their specs them put out more power and a bit less rpm than the graupner ones, the 9,5 and 3.5 have really a lot of power for the turns (780 and 1800 watts), what do you think of these motors and is the gm 120 v2 able to use the corally 3.5 at 2s?

thanks and regards
andrea
