i would at least use a 4T

but those are not produced anymore as the risk of a short-curcuit was so high. now gm offers a 7T delta which is in the middle betweeen 4 and 3,5T

soft bottom end
neutral mid end
hard top end

Hi guys!

I'm getting a GM Genius 100 with a GM 6.5 evo 3 to install in my new yokomo MR-4BX buggy

I'm very exited to test out this new BL system (I have novak and Speed Passion)

Can you tell me if the pc link device and/or software is sold with it or do you have to get it seperately?

Thanks!!

I tried gearing at 6.5 but it just shut down faster, am i way off with the gearing or is there a problem with the speedo or settings?

thanks

2.5 motor with 5 cells you should be in the low 11's with 6 cells or lipo in the high 12's

Probably you'r refering to the #97226 7T delta wound.I would like to ask you what is the #97224 6T and the #97286 6T and if i can run any of them with 2S lipo with the proper gearing of course.

the two 6Ts are a little faster than a 3T star with a much better efficiency.

you may be able to run it with lipo but I am pretty sure the 7t will already be freaky fast

i tested motors on (for europe) med sized asphalttrack

fastest

5T delta
2,5T star
6T delta
3T Star
3,5T Star

slowest

runtume with the 2,5 and 3T was crappy .... not able to make 5 mins and I have NEVER dumped before

the 5T delta is by far the fastest that is out there, and runtime is possible

all tested with 5 cells

Thanks Alan

Gearing advice for 7T Delta/4 Star on a big 1:8 track with 5 cells? Laptimes around 18s with touring.

depends a lot from the magnet used

with a 12mm mag I'd say around 7,0 - 7,5

with 12,5 maybe 6,7 - 7,0

stock mag 6 - 6,5
