Hey Abramowicz

Im updating from 12,4.
I've just gotten it back from the GM factory from and update to the bootloader. Don't know if that changes the procedure i'm supposed to use?

you need to make sure you push and hole the set-button on the speedo and that the battery is not connected and the caps are empty

you need to push and hold the set button before doing anything else

if the reset button on your programming cable does not work simply push and hold the set button, click program and plug the usb wire into your speedo

Now using the stock settings Martin suggested, how do i slow it down a touch and make the throttle a bit smoother.
And my brakes were not that great either.
if you want the throttle to be smoother then lower the current limiter

please check if your transmitter values have been saved correctly (red led only when you do full throttle and full brakes, red/yellow in neutral)

could you further explain what was wrong with the brakes?

Now Martin, this sport engines are outlaw?
On gm site is that they are DMC/EFRA legal, so why you Martin wrote
that you can use them when track/event rules are not restricted?

What is the problem ?

Regards!
m.
the dimensions of the motor itself (not case dimensions) are outlaw in most of the international rules but for germany it's legal

so you changed reserved 4 to 7? then you should really check your transmitter settings as that should brake properly with an X12

the x12 ain't got the strongest brakes anyway but it should be ok

You know I got to say, been looking around at other dynamic timing esc's since I got my HW, curiosity and all that, but the GM Genius series looks super cool, uncommon over here as I don't know anyone using them, but all those features, and data logging.

Don't know if I was imagining it or not, but I could have sworn one version said it had regenerative braking?, if I can get my head round all the features I want one as my next esc.

lol, that does not seem like it would work with lipo batteries.

Full sized electric and hybrids have been doing it with other lithium cells, I was just surprised when I saw the GM esc does it, and impressed, of course I have no idea how well it works, but I'd love to see data on how much mah it could save during an race, even if it's bugger all I'd love it as a bragging factor trackside.

Hm.

Very very interesting.

Martin, how to turn it off?

Maybe I don't want this feature and want only:
- accelereate,
- braking from speedo ?

regenerative braking is not new technology as I remember tekin and some other company had them in the late 80's-early 90's. But I am surprised the GM has it as its not mentioned anywhere about it. Not that its needed as we have all the battery power we ever need with the 5600 lipos.
