I reckon it's with the Highspeedtiming enabled (reserved4=1)

in that case it starts off in HST mode already, the slight back and forth rocking is normal and you won't get that away

you could enable HST with switchpoint (reseved 4 = 3) but then you have a switchpoint which normally never feels really good.

11.6 runs more stable, issues of the speedo not starting once in launch control have been solved, and when no power program has been enabled, the leds flash in neutral

that's it

I stongly recommend updating!
Not sure the issues have been completely solved, still happened to one of the lads last weekend, even though he was running 11.6 ?

In the software, if the switchpoint starting was updated to, say, 500 instead of 5000 this would cure the problem and give more flexibility for users. I would like the factory to do this.

not using a switchpoint (HST set, but reserved4=1)

Both cars using GM motors (10.5 and 8t delta) and behaviour is similar on both on 11.1 and 11.6, the rocking back and forth is fine, but not leaving the line could cost you a race..

Agreed I guess this has got to be fixed immediately. #you might get rammed on the line which woud not be good. Mine has been spot on though..

The 7.2 addressed all the problems of the 4.9 but at least this time we won't have to buy a new speed controller lol

sorry but there is absolutely no point! in having a switchpoint below 5000rpm!

as for the starting problem

11.1 speedo -> update to 11.6

11.6 speedo -> change receiver (which one is used?)

We've seen it on spektrum's own 2.4 as well as Futaba 2.4 receivers (swapped futaba reciever today and still does it.

Default GM 90 2009 updated firmware

Hi there was hoping for some advise, just sent my gm 90 2009 away and had the software updated, i must say im really disappointed.
Having spent the weekend at mendip, after 2 to 3 minutes the car would slow to a walking speed almost, motor temp 45 degrees c. Leave it for a few minutes and go out again and the same would happen.
Now i'm not experienced with this speedo so i spoke to chris grainger, chris kerswell and the rest of the team and they couldnt help me either. The eventually managed to load a different profile for me but it did the same and wasnt as fast before it went slow after a few minutes - temp was 50 degrees c this time.
Can anyone help? or know if i can send back to gm to put the original software back on, because at the moment its only suitable for the bin.

I experienced that customers had the none starting issue even after I put a testing software on that was starting with a 100% security, we changed the receiver and cleaned up the wire mess and it worked!

so if 11.6 is still not starting and that on asphalt, check the other components, make sure everything is installed neatly and then it should work

I have had non start issues with spectrum with non gm speedos also. They seem to shut off if they have no activity for a set amount of time? Its strange and has caused me a few rear wishbones

I think you can only set it to on or off on the gen1 speed controller.

Need a little help with speedo settings for modified racing outdoors. Open mod with lipo. I'm running the gm 6t delta and was really suprised how
driveable it is... I've been running mode 2 sensored on the gm 120 2010 esc. geared at 8.0. If i drive slightly too hard the car fades off toward the end of the run. I can't really understand why as the motor doesn't get very hot and I'm only taking about 3600mah out of a 5200 lipo. Chris kerswell, Chris Ashton, we're able to cruise up behind me on the straight and yet there cars wouldn't fade at all using the same motor.

Any help would be appriciated ;-) need to sort it for the national in 2 weeks at mendip!
