Those that have this charger, what are you charging your NIMH batteries at, 6 AMPS or 5. If they are matched are you using the same amps to charge them as what's indicated on the label? Also, what about the treshold? I currently have all match packs 3000's

I've been basically using my BC112A so there's allot of features on this new charger that I am not aware of or how to use them. Again, for those that have this charger, are the instructions pretty much straight forward?

Default QUASAR PRO

I charge my 3000 NiMh packs at 5amps if need to be peaked 5.5amps. 6Mv threshold

I charge my GP 3300 at 5.5 amps at 5Mv threshold.

Great charger--- the noise it makes!! I love the attention and distraction it makes to other racers hehehehehe.

Kidding aside - great charger! its also made by the one who makes the top of the line eagle charger!

Well, it was my first race and only had one pack so it had no time to cool down, plus I forgot my fan. I didn't know much aout charging or chargers when I bought it and now I wish I did because its not really what I wanted.

Thanks for the info lem2, this will help when I get it. I just want to make certain about the voltage threshold.

I saw the charger for $169. Great price for all that's included

Default Quasar Pro Charger

Mike F;

Just thought I'd let you know that the INTEGY 'Indy' chargers are made by the exact same company as the Reedy 'Quasars' ,can be had for a better price and someone said they come with a better warranty. Might be worth checking it out.

Not sure if they're made by the same company since their screens look a little different. Integy is supposed to come out with the 16X7v6 with 30A discharge for about the same price. I think they have 5 years warranty.

Default Quasar Pro Charger

Guys;

The INTEGY, REEDY and DURATRAX chargers are all made by 'EAGAL electronics' .

I believe that the 16-5 is the equivilent of the Quasar Pro for about $20-$30 less.

BTW: I have a Quasar Pro and a Integy 16-2 Pro and a Pulsar Comp. Each has it's own advantages and special features, But I have yet to find that "Perfect" ALL-IN-ONE charger.

The only problem is I want an ac/dc that is cheaper than the quasar pro. Because only the dc 16x5 is cheaper. The AC/DC is much more expensive.

Hi guys, i have a quasar pro and love it, this weekend i bought a motomaster power pack (leisure battery type pack) in the manual they say to be carefull and contact the manufaturer of any battery charger you hook up to it, my question is: do any of you guys using this power pack to plug in your quasar?
i will contact reedy in the next couple of days to make sure but just wanted to see if anyone else is using it to feed your reedy charger.
the user manual says the output is modified sinewaves (non-sinusoidal) whatever that means.

thanks

The latest EAGLE Racing CDC v6.0b charger is the same as the Integy 16x5 and has a few more features than the Quasar Pro. Minor stuff.

This charger is DAMN GOOD. I get them for US$130 and it can charge and discharge at 20 amp and do everything I need.

Where can I get it online? Is it AC/DC. I need a new charger soon. So I can race again I've only raced once and I caught race fever. Thanks.

What about the Indi 16x7v6 and 16x7pro. They're both AC/DC and thats what I want since power supplies are so expensive. Are these nice? Are they better or worse than the 16x5? Why are all of tha good chargers DC only?
