Whats a good cheap TC or Pan car?
 

Here's the deal I want 2 parking lot basher for my wife and I. I don't want to spend more than $100 per rolling chassis w/o electronics. All I want is a roller with a body, but I want them to be identical so we can interchange parts. And reduce the chance of her saying I'm cheating. lol. I've been looking at tamiya cars but I don't know which ones are better, i.e. don't break easily, and have cheaper parts. What I'd really like is the old bolink pan cars, but all bolink has anymore are the legend cars and they want too much per chassis.

Well if your interested in pan cars look at the Tamiya F103GT. It's the old Tamiya pan car F1 chassis with wheel adapters and body mounts to run TC bodies and wheels.

A TA05 would be a great choice...slight more that $100 ($125) but extremely durable.

What about the TT-01 chassis?

For parking lots, a shaft drive car is best. You're less likely to foul the drivetrain with dirt and rocks than with a belt car. The best $100 shaft car I can think of is the Tamiya TT01. Parts and upgrades are easily had, either at your LHS or online. It's not the most adjustable chassis, but it's durable. It's the way I'd go, given what you're looking to do.

A pan car would be the cheapest but the worst car for a basher as you need good grip for them to run properly and they are very hard to drive. A tt01 or something similar would be the best.
