Thanks for pointing that one out, I've never even heard of them. Unconventional but ugly! IMO

looks really ugly ...yes
this car has been designed in France, PTI is just the manufacurer, the original name is Asphalt (1, 2, 2evo).I never see it in a A-Main during national races but they had a small team, this project is now pretty old and i am not sure it can work it s easy to makesomething different but another thing to make it work.....

well....it sure does look very unconventional.

Not to mention the angle of the front driveshaft....

And the upper A-Arm.....and the Inner Pivot Point....

And also....it seems that the car has a single belt configuration....

Utieh: Do you race in France? Have you raced against the Evo2? (BTW, it is Evo2, not Evo2 revolution).

I saw this car at RCX. At first, it seemed very odd and a huge separation from the normal touring car. The booth for the car was swamped with people looking at it, then again, it was between two nitro giants: Mugen Seiki and a 1/5th scale company. FG if I remember correctly. They didn't let anyone touch the car, it was in a glass case. Their pamplets were a photocopy of a color brochure.

i never see it in real just saw it in magazines.the car is now pretty old, at least 3 years and because it was a prototype there were no more than 3 drivers (i think)
since PTI made it , it looks far better, you should ask RALF who participates at all the national events, he knows it better than me .

This car is coming to SoCal Raceway after the Reedy Race, Ask me how I know, Just ask me.

That's right, I've got one coming! They were taking orders at the RCX show, they got my order!

I remember back in the dayz of the Preditor when they said it was a back concept as well, Then came along AE and remade it and called it the TC3.

why making something which has never been seen just because they want to be different??if it doesn t bring anything in term of performance why doing it...AE took from the pred. only its transmission because it had an advantage over other kinds of transmission, no other company copied its weird (and cool) suspension because it didn't make the car more competitive than another with a classic susp. .
now on the PTI's i think the battery layout and the transmission are very interesting (but it has already been seen on the pro3 and the XXXS/KX1)
but for the suspension I really doubt this configuration is better than a classical one...
i would really want to know what someone who drove it thinks of it

I was at RCX when they had this car, and I talked to the designer and owner of the company. The car they had there was one that has been racing in france and it had the battery pack down the middle. The designer was very cool. He had a very thick french accent so it was hard to understand everything he said but i understood he is an engineer for peugeot in france and he explained how the suspension was better. Apparently he put a lot of time and energy into designing this car, so i wouldnt be too critical until i saw it on a track.

RCInfinity: I touched the car myself, and here is a pic of it at rcx:

It was not in a glass case at all.

Utieh: you seem very critical of the car, but you havent even seen it? How do you know they are being different just to be different? That wasnt the impression I got. And, the battery/trans configuration is different then the pro 3and xxxs. the pro 3 has 2 belts and center pack, and the xxxs has one belt and offset pack. the kx1 is similar, but i think the motor is in the rear, and the belt is longer and runs through more pullys and stuff. the evo has only 1 pully, and 2 diffs, which looked very cool.

i cant believe you guys think this car is ugly. anything that is not the same boring hpi/associated/jokomo/corally/... you know... is great!

Time Will Tell All.

I have seen average drivers purchase a new car and become a fast guy, I have seen fast guys purchase a new car and become the slow guy.

The car has some great features that have been listed and some that have no been listed. Ive called PTI and am awaiting a call.

If you live in Southern Cali you are more than welcome to check out this car when I get my hands on it. I race indoor and outdoor.
