never see the car so those are the best explanation i can give
Which cars are YOU buying? Pretty much EVERYONE is going to extremely good directions, great pictures and complete manuals - Losi, AE, Serpent, etc.

Look before you move your fingers, dude!

You certainly are commenting a LOT on the car while never having seen it. All this comes from a picture? All this comes from seeing an engineer driving it? Lots of insight without real knowledge.

What I REALLY want to know is how that front suspension works.

I understand that a single shock system was used like way long ago but there was no sway bar included so it didn't work. I really would LOVE to know how it works with the sway bar/system in place.

The car looks abso-friggin-lutely lovely.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but does it look like the front arms push a rod that pivots another rod that, in turn, uses a ball end to push in and out the shock. . .?

Hmmmmm, I wonder how that will work. Sway bar and shock link built into a single system. . .

I love the handling, that can be achieved with sway bars - so this gonna be interesting !

Not to mention the fact, that they got the courage to do something different !

never said "it sucks"
the need of a factory driver is obvious for commercial/advertising reasons
the fact the car doesn't win races can't help make this car popular even if it is good, admit you like to know sometimes that the car u own has won nat. races
i don't like ae boxes too, but the box design is just a detail (perhaps i mentionned it cos i work in graphic design)
i am just criticizing the communication aspect of the project not the car itself, it has its importance, even those are just details, it helps sell in the shop

Okay, wow, this IS a completely different car -

Front is lower A-Arm, upper Tie Rod with a funky single-shock/combined with sway-bar on a turny thing actuator. Pretty neat.

The Rear is trailing arm suspension.

Anyone know the pros/cons of a trailing arm vs an A-Arm? I know that the arc of travel will be different - the wheel will be changing through two dimensions

- trailing arm moves the wheel forward as it comes up
- upper link moves the top of the wheel in as it comes up

Wow, I REALLY would like to see this thing in action and see how it runs.

I know it's been a while for this post, and i've been following the pti car for quite a while. about a year ago i spoke with them and asked when it would be ready, and they said 2 months, then about 6-8 months later i called and asked how it was going and they said 2 months.
Now thier website has changed and i don't think it incorporates this car. That would be very disappointing.

Anyone have a clue?

Note that todays date is early december 2004 (i don't have a desk job, so i really don't know the actual date, lol.)
