8.2v 4000mah and a corally black

i have recently purchased a 8.4v 4000mah battery and a corally black 19t motor, they haven't arrived yet but i was wondering will this make my car faster and what else can i do to make it quick?

8.2v? What kind of motor do you have in there now? If none, then yes it will go much faster...

sorry its a 8.4v battery 7 cells, it is a kyosho ep tf-5 with stock motor

Your 19T should be faster then your stock motor. Not sure on the extra cell. A lot of people are going in the opposite direction (5 cell).

TF-5 is built for a 6-cell pack or less. Not sure you'll fit an 8.4V pack in.

we can cut a bit off to get it to fit in, are the cars faster with the 8.4v battery packs?

More voltage but also more weight. Check out some of the 5 vs 6 cell threads to get an understanding of what an extra cell can and cant do. I assume this is just for bashing?
