What's up with all the product and personal bashing?

Its almost if some of the people on here feel entitled to complain and go out of the way to disagree with someone. Truely its a lack of respect, everyone is entitle to there own opinion, if you dont like a posting just leave the thread alone. Personally I just want to read set-up tips, new product releases, an occasional review. I can go without the bashing of products, and the small talk between racers who know each other and carry on conversations that do not pertain to the rest of us. The amount of cursing has gone up as well lately, and it seems the mod's just dont care anymore.
Really, this could be a good thread to bring people to the table to try to fix this ongoing problem with nonsense bashing posts, and long winded personal conversations.

are you sane? where in my comment did I offend you? I simply stated I dont take kindly to someone mentioning my wife, how am I a tuff guy? did I threaten you in any way?
I dont want any problems, Im a calm guy just dont like being disrespected. keep the bashing to my car and myself, dont mind it one bit.

I've only been hanging out here in the electric forum for about a month now and I am so amazed at how much product and personal bashing occurs. In a venue that I believe was primarily intended to help people get the most out of R/C, it's really disappointing to see what some people are posting. Sure, some people are going to be as abrasive as they are in the forum as they are in real life (that thought is always scary), but for the rest of you...
The world, R/C and this forum would be a much better place if everyone tried to be constructive with their comments (both +/-), tactful when someone is wrong and more focused on being helpful and informative - instead of bashing products and people. And when someone is being a dickhead, just ignore them instead of responding. As with all negative behavior, we can only hope they will eventually get the message.
I don't expect that anyone will change their behavior just because I posted this thread, but look at it this way: When someone new comes to the forum and reads some of these posts, what impression do you think it gives of the individual and the type of people that hang out here?
Just something to think about....

Just Kidding...

RC is interesting. I cant think of too many industries where the avg joe can talk to the "pros" directly and where the customers have such close access to the vendors.

This is a community...people talk about all kinds of stuff...and frankly, I can think of a lot of things on here that are more corrosive than personal conversations. I feel like I know the people here, even of I've never met them. I vote for more of them...and if they get boring, I'll just ignore them.

There's nothing you can do though. Some people are just douche bags and can't see beyond their own nose. You can try setting someone straight but that usually adds fuel to the fire.
