Good question...I am trying to determine a starting point spur size/gear ratio and roll out for 13.5 brushless with foams...any answers, EA?

104 for spur. As for pinion or rollout I am unsure of. Dirla said 41-42.5 at our track which is pretty small compared to Vegas. I would guess in the 44-45mm range for Vegas. You coming again this year?

I would give the new hard case a try for sure.
Do you have a pic of your car with the off-set 5000 pack?

Do people really see that much of diffence between a pack like maxamps and a matched lipo with the setup / type racing that I am doing?
I swelled my 5000 maxamps pack from running MOD and so did a friend of mine. They don't like the draw at all. IMO

Any feedback on the new upper deck for rubber tires on carpet? Our track owner usually changes our track layout every 4-6 weeks. So most of the time we run in low to medium grip carpet conditions. Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to test it out. Thanks.

Default Upgrades or new car???

I not sure if any of you have read the new Hudy column on Xray's website. It looks as if they are developing upgrades for the 008's drive train. New drive shafts, solid axels, etc. The new parts look great...however this begs the question will there be a new car, or just upgrades for the current car? I know Xray has been very criticized for coming out with a new car every year. Could this be a change in philosophy, or will these new parts be part of a 009 or T3 car? Personally I have really enjoyed my 008 so I'd prefer the upgrades. However my experience with my 008 has been so good that I'm may be willing to get an 009/T3 if/when in comes out...

Read column #22 and see what you think...

dunno about a new car,but those new driveshafts look like they will eliminate alot of the corner chatter from the old ones as for the spool it just added the metal outdrives.

mick, you mean the aluminum driveshafts? How do you figure those will eliminate chatter?

I think he was refering to the double drive shafts that they mention in the article. I assume they are like the Losi drive shave on the JRXS.

After reading that column its no wander xray has the best and most innovative products on the market and as for a new car every year it would seem to me Hudy is just as R/C sick as the rest of us and he cannot help himself but to continue to refine his products to give us the best product possible....

Gordie have you ever tried spool on carpet???

There is a new axle with a 2 claw type of mounting system. Looks good and saves a lot on weight also, but will the claws bend easily.....................
