Hey Guys a couple quick questions if anyone minds answering. I'm currently still building the car. While mounting up the front sway bar i find its very easily hitting the axels with just a bit of suspension movment. i know the links are adjustable but it doesnt seem like theres gunna be a lot of threads holding the 2 ends together if i lengthen them up. And i need a baseline gearing setup
Im running a Novak 3.5BL GTb speed controller and Orion 3200 lipo with rubber tires. Any help would be great

Build it the way they say to in the manual and once you have all the components on the car and it is set-up to go on the track they will not touch. Xray does have tight tolerence but there is always room

On my Novak 3.5 system, I tend to run over 10.0 if running the standard 12.3mm rotor, and under 10.0 if running the 13mm rotor. I have not run the standard rotor in my 3.5 for quite a while, though.

I bought a '008 a few months ago and race in the stock class at the local track. I'm currently running a orion 3200 lipo and novak GTB/17.5 setup. One guy that has the same setup in an original T2 said 92T spur and 44-48T pinion. The problem I'm having is that I can't access the motor screw closest to the rear bulkhead with this necessary gearing. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

xrayzone: Are you using Spur gears that have the large holes within the spur gear itself, like the stock Xray, PRS, or RW spurs?

Hey Guys I just picked up a Losi 10.5 and a Hacker 10.5 how would you gear these motors with a 100 spur. Im running on a 100x50 asphalt track with rubber tires any help would be great.

Can anyone please tell me is there any mod to the chassis required for T2 008 to git Lipo and using the battery strap?

No Chassis Mod is required. You might have to shim up the battery strap posts to fit the height of your LiPo though. The tallest LiPo you can fit on the '008 w/o spacing up the top deck is 22.5mm. The only mod required will be to the plastic Xray battery stops that screw onto the chassis.

You can fit an SMC 5000 pack in the 008. Just do not place it under the top deck. It will hang off the chassis about 1/2 inch. But that is OK. Just tape it in good.

What is "angle effect"? Are you referring to the angle in the steering linkages to the servo saver? The adjustment will depend on rubber tire or foam tire? Also, download the Xray T2 setup book for a good explanation of each part of the suspension of how it effects the car.

You will need a pinion somewhere between 29 to 32 tooth pinion.
