Not sure about just the body, but the part number for the Aluminum '008 Shock set (pair) is 308306. These were just announced from Xray, as the '008 shock bodies are shorter than the '007 and previous.

The Xray gear chart I have is great, but it lists all possible ratios, whether you can fit them in the car or not. Is there a chart or something that'll show just the ratios that'll fit the car?
Had this same issue when I firstgot the car. I run 64 so I cant help you really but for 64 I found that a 140 tooth combo (spur + pinion) put the motor about center and I can go about three or for teeth bigger and smaller from that. So if I run a 102 and 38 thats a 4.5 and can go bigger and small from that! LMK if you have any question.

Thanks Bryan, I've taken the highly technical route of completely guessing and hoping a 76/25 ratio fits.

yokemad, I know someone with Tamiya shocks on his 008 as he couldn't build 4 indentical Xray shocks. If you need pics or something I can get some.

I never could understand why you would want to run Tamiya shocks on a XRay
Now when I ran for Schumacher I ran Tamiya shocks because they were better and easier to work on (older Schuie shocks)
But I find Xray shocks easy to build and easy to get all the same. The best part is the ability to change the piston settings in 30 seconds with out opening up your shocks... I use this feature every time I race and it can make a huge difference in how your car works.
Heck when I ran a PHI last year I put XRay shocks on it because I like the tunability so much.
I just dont see any advantage in changing from XRay shocks

@Ottoman
R u talking about usual Plastic or optional alloy xray shocks also some people has some difficulty to built all 4 shocks perfectly...
also technically FL coated alloy shocks should be better than Plastic

Pics as promised, according to him the only reason he uses them is to be able to build 4 identical shocks with the same amount of rebound, which is really hard to do with the standard plastic shocks. They do make the car more predictable when racing on asphalt according to him though.

I ran the T2 a few years ago with Tamyia shocks after I broke a couple shock bodies, and they leaked. Fast forward a few years to the 008 I have. The shocks are much better. I liken the plastic shocks. They are easy to build and bleed. Plus the clicker pistons make it really easy to change dampening. I would be a little concerned in the length of any other shock on the 008.

I only use plastic bodies... why waste $$ on aluminum? I broke 2 shock bodies in the last 4 years.... both were huge hits that broke more than the shock.

If you are having problems getting all four shocks equal your not following or dont understand the instructions.

FL coating doesnt make you faster
