Hey guys, I have a question.

I'm bored with my current chassis (Mi3), and I've got option to getting hold of a very good condition 008 for a great price. However, its an EU 5cell, and I run Orion 4800 LiPo, so what would be the best way to hold the pack in?

Drill 2 holes and use the Xray 6 cell carbon strap?

or

Cut 2 slots and use tape?

Either way I'd add some weight strips to locate the pack in the cell slots.

Buying a 6 cell lower deck isn't an option as its 60 over here (about $120), and as 5 cell isn't as popular as 6 cell racing here, it'd be hard to ell the kit and get a 6 cell one.

Will that pack fit in that chassis? On the US the top deck is too low to clear it.

Yes, it fits fine, the EU cars come with thinner upper and lower decks. I just need a way of securing it.

If you mean xra 308390 Ultimate Spring-Set EV-2 (24) or XRA 308380 Additional Ult. Spring-Set(20) then absolutely they will work. Almost like free stuff?

I have a question regarding belt tension.

I'm running a 13.5 and wonder if I should run my belt loose just like what they do in stock to free up your drivetrain? Or should I just run them tight since BL has alot of torque?

I'm not one to normally post in the X-Ray thread but I figured this was information that could be useful to you all.

We are stocking the black RW 64p X-Ray 08 spurs if any and all of you are interested. Have your LHS get them on order if needed, I know SIR, and Nexus are both carrying them right now.

I'd drill the holes and run the strap. Add in some stainless steel base inserts to the Lipo to keep it in the chassis, you can add all 5 (apx 1oz) to get weight down low.

Can anyone please post the gear ration chart for T2 008. Need to order some pinions & spurs together with the car.

What is the best spur/pinion combination for mod, i.e., 7T or 3.5T BL (ratio 8.8-9.8) & 23T stock racing (ratio 5-5.3)?

I knew the normal pinions cant fit into the T008, how about the spur? Must only use XRAY spur?

Thanks.

Go http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/pro...%20EU%20Rubber at the bottom of the page you will find what you need.

As for spur I use RW ones that are made for the T2008
