I am too. I want see different between Xray and Cyclone. :-) I was on the second race with my 008 yesterday. After smaller setup, the car really works good but grip was smaller then I want. My friend lent(borrowed) me mazda 6 body and this was excellent.(i have stratus 3.0).

p.s. lent me or borrow me ? ( i am learning english).
thx bye

Your friend lent you. If you are the receiver, then you are borrowing; if you are the giver, then you are lending. IE I borrowed from my friend
I have run the the Stratus (not the 3.0) and the Mazda 6 at my local track, which is quite tight, and the Mazda clearly performed better. It must have more overall downforce. The Stratus, and particularly the 3.0 version, will I am sure be better on more open tracks.

Ok, so how is everyone gearing in 13.5 on the 008? In the 007 I was geared about 4.6 on the track I run at. Have the car but need to get the gears I need b4 I start the build. Hopefully I don't have to buy too many new bits since the car was supposed to be set out of the box for the price they have us paying.

I tried 007pully's they where really good, less traction roll than standart pully's also no wear on the belts. Then i tried schumacher front belt and yokomo rear belt with standart diff and spool pully's and 20 centershaft. That also solves all your problems with the T2008 (at least the belt/ pinion rubbing problem). Verry good car, super fast and at this moment the cheapest sollution. You can use standart 007 20t pully's and the other belts, if you want to use c-clip on the centershaft you have to sand the pully's a bit smaller i think. I shimmed them out because the c-clip shot in my eye and I never saw it again..

I'm running a 69 spur with a 34 pinion = 4.8 FDR and motor temp seems good.
To get 4.6 FDR you will need a 35 pinion

I've failed to mention that I run 64pitch gears.

I run the RW spur gear, its very narrow and the holes line up great. I am running the 88 spur and with a 13.5 on our track I run a 44 pinion.

So are you guys running on carpet with that gearing? If so what type of track is it: technical, mixed, or fast?

I run mostly on asphalt , but also run similar gearing on a very tight technical carpet setup on rubber tires. I am running the Eu version with the 2.375 internal.

lbc, isn't that spur too thick at the hub? Did you modify it at all?
