Lets see, no longer American owned, they only managed to copy the idea - not form and fit, the CG is high, quality of finish low, layshaft on a couple of the ones I've seen needs shimed, not as durable as the T2, all but 1 purchased in this area has been sold in favor of returning to X-ray or the Corrally.

Have fun.

hi, i am looking forward to be a 008' EU 5cell version owner - but I wonder if there is a version of 5cell chassis that come with front multi-diff and rear ball diff with composite outdrive (the one that doesn't need blade on the univ shaft) ? seems all 1st batch I can find locally (I live in Singapore) are coming with front plastic spool and rear alloy (7075 T6) diff ....

Comments ?

Thanks
Ernest

At this point there is not a variant of the 008 that is packaged with the multi-diff. I am not aware of any plans to produce a 008 with the mutli-diff in the kit.

You want the cutting edge of car technology but then piss and moan when the company delivers.
It sounds like you either already have the new kit, or have had an opportunity to personally evaluate the new kit. I envy you.

Unfortunately, I have not had that opportunity. So, I read what other's like you who have the the kit have to say. I compare their comments to the comments of others and the words of the manufacturer, then try to make an informed decision before making a purchase.

The only time "piss and moan" is when I make a bad purchasing decision, by buying impulsively and without any regard for common sense or the income that I work hard to earn.

I have decided to buy the Serpent S400. Too many problems for my liking with my first brand new TC. Maybe next time around.

Now that you have tested it, it is used. So I would like to offer $300 for your used 008.

buy a corally phi by the time you bye the correct diff front and rear all the narrow pininon gears and the off set spur gears it would probably be the same price but at least with the corally and all the other manufactures the instruction manuals are correct. imo the 008 was rushed just to make money for xmas.

The closer the fit the better quality needed to cope and the lighter the car.
I am sure Xray have done their homework.
