Anyone know if this "Exclusive first batch" Alum. front diff is the same one that's in the 007 kit? Looking at the pdf on Xray web page it's the same.

and as Tweaky wrote:

Will Xray be supplying the composite diff's to all those who purchased the initial batch kits. Surely this would be a fantastic goodwill gesture, Team Magic did a similar thing with the M1B buggy, and the parts kit were free of charge.

With the spur repositioned it would move the belt further left as it would the front pulley, I agree with you after seeing the pdf but it must be slightly different.

Ken, I don't think the sideways offset is a problem. Apparently the diff bulkheads are wider on the 008, so they can drop in a 007 diff and then put in a spacer to offset it. Of course, the outdrives won't have equal dogbone coverage, but it probably doesn't matter.

NeXus Racing I know will be getting them in but I'm not sure if they have a waiting list. Send them an email and they'll let you know.

Default Spring change

Ok the shocks are a new length requiring a new spring length, but are they changing spring "pound" or jsut making them shorter?

The '008 shock is shorter, BUT it does not require the use of the new spring. The new springs were developed for rubber tire racing, allowing finer tuning than before. You can still use all the older T2 springs on the '008.
