Good point, when the TC5 and JRXS Type-R came out parts where not available. I volunteer at a hobby shop and saw all the lead times and backorders.

All good points regarding XRAY service and history, I'm looking forward to the '008.

The main reason is the Lipo fitment, especially for Orion 4800 size packs...which the T2 EU '08 will accomodate, as well as an MI3...it'll be one of those two for sure...the S400 can only take 3200 style packs w/o mods, and that's the main reason I'm going back to Xray or Mi3...If it wasnt for that, i'd keep my S400- its a really good car.

the mi3 will not have any problems fitting the orion 4800s, BUT the way the bulkheads are designed on the mi3, the battery terminals will be coverd by the bulkhead. i have an mi3 myself and found out about this only after purchasing the kit.

I had an Mi3 for 4 months and ran Orion 4800 packs in it. Just tuck them in as about 2mm from the spur/pinion and the negative terminal will clear the bulkhead w/ no pblms. Just add the weight where needed.

No. On XRAY's site it talks about the new shocks that come with the '008. The body is shorter along with the shafts.

I think only on the EU version, not the US Carpet Edition.

If that's true, they probably planned it that way since most the US Xray team drivers dont use swaybars on carpet anyways...

I just hope the price stays in the usual $390-399 range...

Default Bearings

I hope Xray will use the original T2 bearings, istead of the '007 batch, which have to be relubed so they dont get destroyed on the first run...it was a pblm some of us experienced and then Xray came out with an explanation about the bearings and they are higher quality and need re-lubing, etc...
