Default 64 spur with 13.5 10.5 brushless

Whats the smallest 64p spur you guys are running with the 1.7 FDR on the 008/009? I will be running 13.5 and 10.5 rubber on a 80 X 50 carpet track. Was looking at 96,98 and 100 RW spurs from Nexus but they are out of stock. I want to get some spurs ordered so I can have them when the car arrives any know where I can get them?

Thanks, Greg

I do have a 96 spur from precision racing systems that I used on the first T2. Will that work on the 008/009?

I use the 96 tooth PRS and RW spurs on both my '007 and '008. They are pushing the limit for being able to access the rear motor screw when running 17.5 brushless. You definitely need a ball end wrench to just barely reach the screw. If you go any smaller, you'll need to remove the top decks and layshaft to tighten the rear screw. A couple of other guys running 13.5 and 10.5 opted for the 100 tooth for this reason, since you don't need as crazy of a rollout for those motors compared to a 17.5.

I got mine from Nexus. Try Ashford Hobby or Stormer.

I'm using the RW Racing spur and have read in another post on how to set the mesh, I just remove the top deck and tighten the fron motor screw. Then lift up the spur and gears then tighten down the rear re-check the mesh.

The only place I could find RW xray spurs in stock was Schumacher. Their shipping is on the high side for a couple of spur gears, $10 for standard post, ouch!!

The Xray 104t is just small enough for 13.5t motors.

Hey all I was wondering where most of you started your setup for the US version. I was looking at stock vs. Paul's and they are way different in the teams of front to rear balance. Paul's looks more traditional where the stock is more balanced like a asphalt car. Just trying to show up at the track with less prep time if one setup seems to be a better starting position.

Cool I'm putting together a list of parts and ordering it up next week, and a couple of spur and pinions too.
