Modified 19T motors?

Hey, I am a RC noob. I have a regular 17T orion vs2 motor. Would a mod 19T motor be faster? Can anyone give me info on this?

No a 19 turn would be slower cose ithas mor turns the lower the turn the faster

ex: 19.vs.6 turn wich is faster???

the 6 turn is so basiclly all you need to find out is the quality of the motor and how many turns couse some seel broken ones...

HTH.

This is a common mistake. A lower turn motor is not necessarily faster than one with higher turns especially if they are close.

A 17 turn SV2 motor is considered a budget basher motor. At $30.00 or so, the components are not the best quality, but it is a fast motor for non-competition cars. Most 19 turn Spec competition motors are made just hat, competition. They use the highest quality components and are built to the extent of the rules allowed and therefore will be quite a bit faster than non competition motors.

But if the motors are the same - like a 17 turn SV2 vs. a 19 turn SV2, the lower turn motor will be faster ( with less run time and faster wear).

There is a lot more to motor than just the wind. The way they are made and the quality of the components used are just as important.

Battery capacity is another area of confusion that is related. Most think that higher capacity is always better. But as with motors the quality of the battery is just as if not more important. For example, an IB 4200 pack will run longer and produce more power than a 4200 generic pack. And its cycle life is much greater.
