Default 20 - 10.5 Brushless OVAL cars...at ONCE - WOW

Are YOU brave enough to try 20 OVAL Cars on a HIGH BANKED Bicycle Velodrome running NOVAK 10.5 Brushless Motors at roughly 60 MPH?

Check out the short video from last weekends SWTour **Allstar Shootout** at the Encino Velodrome.

ALLSTAR Race from Encino Velo on YOUTUBE

Thanks to Brandon Patti for taping his father..up until the CRASH~

Hey thanks for the link. That was some serious oval racing.
Never could get into oval but that was a cool vid.

Thats a unique event on a track like that isn't it.?

Or is that a common track.?

I hold 5 races a year on this track...the 20 car format is a SPECIAL event we put together this year...to add a little excitement.

They also hold several races in INDY on the Major Taylor Velodrome...it's just something a little different~

we do about a 2/3rds oval w/ a infield roadcourse for our LOCAL racing program with touring cars.

We've even run our OVAL cars on that type of track too, and it's a blast (NOT the velodrome cars though..they are TOO aerodynamic and have too little downforce to run SLOW)

We actually schedule about 5 races a year there.

Our events calendar is on our web site ( www.southwesttour.com ) and the next time we'll be at the Velodrome will be in October on the 13th I believe...and back again December 8th.

Here is another video from last weekend...

This one, from Brett Patti I believe captured the NOVAK 10.5 class "A" main event on Saturday, which is a 10 car POINTS race, and the winner of this race got to transfer into our **ALLSTAR SHOOTOUT** on Sunday.

This IS a full 5 minute race video.

MORE VIDEO from the ENCINO VELODROME

Cool... You could get a full field of 43 cars on there, that'd be a sight to see...

I have the Kissena velodrome not to far from me but they won't let you run RC's on it...

Is there any way to download these videos? I only have a dialup connection and it is just not practical to stream a video -- it just shows 5 second spurts with 30 second gaps in between...

...not JUST 10.5's, but 10.5's on 4 cell packs

Here's photos of my sons car from that weekend. His is the car that passed the 2 cars the lap before the big crash in the short video.

a full shot, a wing shot, a battery placement shot...and a gearing shot...

Nothing special - just a Associated RC10L3 Oval car with a SHOCKED (DNA) Front End.

They are flash videos... You'll need a flash player and a way to download them... If you have firefox there's an extension to download them with...
