team orion lcs lapcounter pc link question
 

So I've got myself a team orion LCS and the pc link + software . My problem is that the laptop I want to run the software on doesn't have an rs232c serial port . I know I can buy an serial to USB port adaptor but seeing as in the lcs software you can't select USB ports only com ports will it be detected ?.

Hope you got it sorted. I also had this problem, I plugged it all up and configured the software for different ports until I got it to work.

It works on COM4 with the laptop and USB port I used.

The USB to Serial converter makes a virtual com port, so the PC thinks it has a com port. A converter will work fine.
