Like the fast guy at our track says:

'give the fast guys brushed and the slow guys BL and the fast guys still win'

I have a motor master and lathe and brush cutting tool and hood alignment tool all for sale lol

A question:
So, if/when brushed stock and 19t motors get phased out.....
Are we going to have handout brushless races??

Don't think there won't be variables in the motors (motor to motor) just like brushed motors. First thing that comes to mind is the windings in the can.

but I don't have any first hand experience with a BL, except our 24hr enduro winning car. And that was obviously a good experience.

phased out ?

boo who !

variables in brush motor`s also ....

1 -- You, CJ- 2nd ROAR nats in stock 31 laps
2 -- Sterling - winner masters ROAR nats, stock 31 laps
3 -- Pease, local fast guy, 2 laps down, stock 29 laps

Short track, not really a good comparison.

This IS actually something I'm looking into...I think a HANDOUT B/L race with an UNDISCLOSED wind B/L motor would be awesome.

IF NOBODY KNOWS What the wind is...then it will be up to them to figure out HOW FAST IT WILL RUN and nobody will really have a setup advantage going into the event.

The other option I've thought of is HANDOUT B/L MOTOR w/ a FIXED Rollout Range with a +/- of 2%

If your 13.5 is NOT faster than your STOCK motor - you probably are NOT gearing it TALL enough yet~ 13.5's are LOW rpm, but put out almost as much power as a 10.5. They need probably 6-7 teeth MORE than what a 10.5(4300) motor would need...maybe even MORE.

I would say go with brushless system. It will save you time and money in a long run. Plus you don't have to spend a lot of time working on your motor to be competitive.

I've been running 13.5 for a while and I like the consistency of the motor every heat, Power that never fade out through out the run.

And I also got tired of bringing loads of motor on my pit box every weekend.

Now I only bring 3 (4300) 10.5, 13.5 and 4.5 if I feel like going faster.
