NOVAK GTB 2.5 BL?
#1

Regarding the Novak GTB brushless motor series, does anyone know whether there are plans to produce a 2.5 BL GTB system (step-up in power compared with 3.5 BL)? Guess what I'm really asking is how much more (if any) RPM, torque (power) can be squeezed out of a these BL motors? At some point there's a ceiling (or floor) with respect to continually increasing power with a given motor design, right? Anyone know something about the engineering and science behind what actually makes these motors generate power? Is the 3.5 BL GTB system close to being "maxed out" as far as power goes, or can we expect additional power increases from these BL systems in the near future?

Yeah, you're right. That's a good point. I've got a NIB Novak 3.5. Looking forward to seeing what it can do in my TRF415 MSX MRE or X-RAY T2 007. Haven't decided which one yet. Based on what I've read here on the forum, cars with some of these BL systems are pushing nitro (or better) speed on the straights. I've always preferred electric!!

Hey Guys,
I don't think we'd be doing our jobs if we didn't "try it". So far it simply draws way to much power, and has way to much RPM.
I see more changes coming to generate more torque and use lower RPM/Taller gearing. The cars are pretty close to handling limits regarding laying down the power.
Thanks

Increased torque sounds good!!

Marcos you have way to much power already.....Way to much!!!

So many possibilities!

out of the 48k members here on r/c tech, I'm quite sure there's only 100 of them that could use, let alone lay that amount of power down. But if you want to spend the money - I'll take a cut of it
