i would think novak tried messing around some faster motors but have not perfected them yet. perhaps they run too hot...

Novaks have always run too hot, every novak motor I've had have thermalled in one way or another. Stick a fan inside the housing (like orion, speed passion etc) and the problem should be solved.

sice the sintered rotors i havent thermal a novak motor at all (but i also have the novak heatsink installed on them)

I cant get mine to run longer than 3 1/2 min without going into thermal.

I think it's the heatsink that stops the thermals more than enything else (except maybe cutting the blue wire).
