Touring Car Foams for Dummies

Hi,
I searched but found nothing. What is the difference between:

magenta
Cyan
Plaid
Purple
indigo

Which ones are harder or softer?

1. Magenta is softer than purple. It offers the most traction of those listed.

2. Cyan is a Magenta with a thin harder ring of foam on the outer edge.

3. Indigo is a Magenta with a slightly softer ring of foam on the outer edge, as compared to a Cyan. More bite than Cyan, less than Magenta.

4. Purple is harder than Magenta.

5. Plaid is a Purple with that thin hard ring of foam on the outer edge, just like the Cyan.

If you look at the Colors - Purple, Cyan etc... there is a corresponding number next to it. This is called a shore rating. Basically , the higher the shore number, the harder the compound. Usually the higher the shore number is for higher grip surfaces, lower number for lower grip.

the cyan's and things are good but I would go with Jaco foams. I run (most people who runs jacos) double pink orange in the front and double pink in the rear. cyans etc are compatable but I am use to jaco's so I run them more than aything.
