that's definitely not a TB01...

a tb01 looks like a TC3 in design and battery placement...

Honestly,

In my opinion... You can see where screws go through the top, and also, you can see, what looks like a battery box on the bottom. I think (and this is ONLY an opinion), that the guy might have sold you a tyco/rs/some other TOY R/C car there man... either that, or it could be one of those "Old School" 4wd chassis from back in the day, that had a partial cover that screwed on, atop the chassis and under the body? (As I do see body mounts in the front of the chassis)

^^^Agree, I can also see in that battery box where 4 AA's would go, typical in those older tyco-style rcs...Reminds me of a Dodge Viper RC I really wanted from Toys R Us a long long time ago.

I'm unaware of the chassis but it does look more like a toy than a actual race car. I hope you didn't pay too much for that.

It looks to me like somebody bolt a set of hobby grade diffs/suspension onto the chassis of a Nikko/Tyco toy. If you look at the bottom of the car you can see where the little stamps that show where the alkaline batteries go.

Looks like you got ripped off. If you can try stopping the payment through paypal or your bank.

if you look closer, you can see there is a shock tower and ball connectors for the shocks... So meaning to say, the shocks are just not installed... Or not included when he bought it...

Well the front shocks are indeed not installed removed them one was broken
The engine was a johnson 540
The hole chassis is screwed with screws like a tamiya.
It feels like a very sollid chassis.
And guys it's not a ripoff got it for free when i bought a complete tamiya tt01

Its not CEN or any brand we know but I've seen these or lesser versions. think this is one of the lesser versions. Its hobby like but not hobby quality. I don't even think it is a Sinyih or Smarttech. This car is a knock-off of a Tamiya TT-01 and a really bad one. It is likely that this car and ones like it were sold at swap-meets and flee-markets.

It has absolutely no value at all! Its not even worth fixing! Your best solution is to trash it and move on. I know you probably want to salvage something from it but you'll will spend more money on it than what it is worth. That is money you can use towards a real hobby quality car.
