Default Just imagine if...

someone made a track which simulated real roads and r/c on road cars with cameras in them so you could race around a simulated city by using the camera, connected to a tv screen in front of you... Mega money to make it but I bet no ones ever tried creating it LOL.

Can anyone tell I have no work to do right now?

I think Thunder Tiger have already made such a system (camera and screen), it was in one of the RC mags a few months ago.

There is a large scale track somewhere that races oval's that you sit in a cockpit and control the car that way. I remember hearing about it a year or 2 ago. Stateside of course.

About 8 years ago there was a place at the Jersey shore that had this setup. You could actually see yourself sitting in the chair as you drove towards yourself. It was pretty cool. Not sure if its still there or not.

Yea this was definitely done before. RCCA once had an article about 1/4 scale nascars that were run like this. I think cost is what killed the idea.

Heres a cheap alternative.?????????????

Figure-8.
Now that would be a blast. 10th scale with a trailer hooked to it pulling a mini-t.

Nice to see im not the only one with this kinda idea then LOL.

I just think the whole idea of controlling an r/c car via a camera/tv around a remade town or somewhere like that pretty wierd, but would be pretty cool to try! Traffic lights and stuff too for example Getting T boned on a cross roads when someone went through a red light?

Like I say, far too much spare time on my hands
