Maybe it's using brushless system, so it's heavier than brushed (ko vfs1, lrp quantum, novak gtx, etc) 20-50g, anyway 1532g i think should be acceptable.

I'm looking to get a competitive Electric car soon, so I can enter the newly formed EP Seniors championship.

Rules say:
19T BR or 10.5 BL
NiCd/NiMh/LiPo 7.4v max
Control Rubber Tyre
1500g minimum

So I'm hoping the TM is released soon, and that it is competitive.
(current option - HB Cyclone, works on my local track)

Dennis ..... with the bottom load battery will the car be capable of using any of the current crop of cased LiPo packs? Would be a real shame if it didn't.

Good question but i would think soft pack lipo would be ok and for th ehard pack the contact holes might be a problem.

Oh, you said that car which made by Hong Kong guys living in Canada, i didn't notice your thread before, pardon, that car was on 3rd and 10th place by HK drivers in International carpet race host in HK so many years ago that forgot the exactly year, as remenber 1st place was Mike Swauger's Xpress and 2nd was Murai-san's HPI pro2.
The car is very similar as nitro ones, instead of 3 belts, it has 2 top decks, very interesting car.

I love the design, I got two problems with the current designs. One everyone looks the same, I know there are differences, but if it takes more than a split second to determine which is which, they are the same to me. And two, I hate the battery hanging off to one side, it doesn't look right to my eye. I have been shown how they balance out, but it doesn't look right to me. Thats why when i go touring, I roll with a Kyosho KX-one or a HPI pro3. If i do get a new tourer, It will be this one, if for no other reason, it doesn't follow the flock.
