3300 NiMH Cells dead??
Hi -
I am recently getting back into racing after a 2+ year retirement. I had 5 packs of good 3300 NiMH cells that were left somewhere around half charge in March of 2005. I have not touched them since then and suspected they would be problematic upon charging today...
So far, I have tried to cycle two of them on my Turbo 35 GFX at 6.0 A and it is barely taking any charge. I can only get about a 30 second discharge into them. I will try each pack 3 times but I don't have a lot of hope they can be revived.
Can these packs be revived? If so, what should I do? Second, if I want to get back into Electric TC what batteries should I buy? LiPO or NiMH? What matcher?
Any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated.

Try a much lower charge rate, 1-3A range, one of these should get some life into the cells.

if 1-3A charge still can't charge the pack, try under 1A...about 0.5 maybe....you should charge - discharge - charge - discharge....if you have Spintec Battery Management it will help you to revive those pack...
