Actually he got rid of the big black plane. Keira got mad because he spent too much time washing and waxing it. The last straw was the week when he clay bar'd the whole plane

BMI .022" linear springs come with the latest kits. The first kits came with .020" BMI linear but the .022" seemed to be better for most racers in most places.

Picked up a BMI order yesterday including a team shirt... next time I'll have to remember that "large" is on a different scale in america

I ran my car again yesterday under less grippy conditions to the weekend and it was a bit lively on power, what's the best way to stop it from doing circle work? I'm running the batteries at the back at the moment, I thought this would make it more stable but Rich Chang's 12th scale tips say otherwise, should I bring them forward first or soften the rear shock?

My 12R has been parked since I switched to lipos for both my touring and oval car. I have my hands on a SMC 1c lipo, so it looks I'll be running the care real soon.

Has any one tried the 1c lipo and can you go the full 8 minutes? Or do you need a receiver pack? How much of difference is the setup?

1st thing to check is to make sure the pod is level at all 4 corners. This is probably the issue.

Running the batteries forward will mellow the car off power and add on power steering. Running the batteries to the back will increase off power steering and increase on power rear traction. Running a softer center spring will also increase rear traction. I have never really needed to go softer than a gold but every track is different.

How much weight are you using to balance the car.

This is not the easiest task.

I'm using 25g does this sound about right.

I've run the SMC lipo in my BMI with a 10.5 motor (setup the same as it would be for 4-cell packs) but only for 5/6 minutes. I've not had a chance to run for 8 minutes yet

You should have no problem making 8 mins with a 13.5. And yes your gonna need a RX pack to power your radio.
