I found a rare blue ano 12r online, im going to convert to a RR, but obviously i think that rear bar across the pod will be a different length.... Ill maybe shim it with blue shims! Anyone know if its the same length as the R version? Cheers
No the rear crossbrace is longer on the RR than the original R. The blue anodized version was a special edition of the R car, I think there were only 20 made with the blue.

1. Whats a good length is for the Sensor Wire. Its for the DB12RR. I'll probably be buying an aftermarket wire harness but there are lots of different lengths.

2. Are there any Lipos that don't fit into the chassis slots for the lipo version DB12RR? Any reccommended Lipos?
1. I'm using the TQ brand sensor wire which is very flexible (won't add any tweak to the rear suspension). I have the 170mm wire which gives you a little slack, you may be able to get by with the 150mm depending on your mounting of the ESC.

2. Using the Fantom 5000mah 40c, no problems. Have put a small piece of lexan on the bottom with servo tape (in the chassis slots), to keep it from moving around. I think you'll have to do that with any battery as the DB12RR battery strap is a bit on the loose side.

After almost 18months of not racing, I've got the itch back. So besides the Advanced ESC, which is the preferred speedo for our cars with the 1-cell lipos? I'm keen towards the Tekin, but don't know which one. Any suggestions?

Proabably a better question for one of the ESC threads, but wait for the LRP SXX stock spec to come out. It will be geared towards 1s Lipo, providing 6v, 3 amp BEC output with any input between 3.5 and 9 volts.

Actually, I'm in the correct place. I run a DB12rr and wanted to know what my fellow BMI owners are running.
Thanks though

Well as you saw in my pic in the other thread I'm running the Tekin. I just find the LRPs too big for my taste and I like the fact that I can just download new software when new ideas come out rather then buying a whole new ESC. And I just can't see myself spending that much on the Advanced right now.

Having the booster built into the ESC like the new LRP would be nice...but as Randy told me at the IIC...it's just one more thing inside the ESC that can go bad and have it sent in for repair.

Thanks for the input, Will pick up a 170mm sensor wire as well. Appreciate it.

Jonesy ive been running one in my DB12RR for a few weeks. You have enough room to move it around, and offset it to balance the main chassis without adding weight which i loved.

So started stripping the DB12r Blue, and realised its vastly different from the new RR. So cars went back together this morning. Looks like the blue edition 12r uses Associated alloy blue screws? always hated them, they strip so easily!

Mine is labelled 10 of 20, pretty cool to see it machined into the left bulkhead! very nice work

It fits very nicely. There's a pic of mine with the SMC in my car in the 12th scale wiring thread. Down on post #13

What is the difference in the carbon fiber thick flex plates and the carbon fiber thin flex plates as to how they affect the car
Thanks
