Jason,
Thanks for the great car.
I used my 12RR for the 13.5/1S Lipo outdoor asphalt.
I used the base setup.
The center shock oil 45 and spring blue.
Tires Parma Black front/Rear and I moved the battery all the way forward.
The car is on rail now it's up to my skill.

Hey Jason,

What dimensions did you mill the indentation for the lipo packs to? That would help us figure out if new packs coming out will fit.

Alright. Got my new chassis today. Can't wait to get it on the track. But I'm thinking the setup for the R chassis with NiMHs won't work the best with the RR and LiPos. Is there a baseline setup for the car on a medium sized indoor carpet track? Thanks for any help.

Bill.

Bill.

Back a couple of pages Mike Ivy posted a good lipo setup, this is real close to what I've been running and will give you a great starting point.

Default Need a little help

Tonight after working every day for the past month and a half I had high expectations of running my new Lipo edition 12rr. However to no avail that didn't happen. I thought for sure that I would have no problems with the Speed passion 2.0 Gt Pro speed control. However I had nothing but problems. I purchased the TQ cell booster to run along with my Fantom 3.7 5000mah battery. HOW in the HE&& are you supposed to set the speed control? I have power either way through the speed control and or the booster switch. However I can't get the damn speed control to set. I didn't even see the light your suppose to see. AM I missing something? Thanks.......

thinking of trying a 1/12 car for the winter, and the BMI car looks pretty good and I have liked there products before so I figured I would post a few questions for you BMI pros:

1) anyone got some links to pics of the DB12RR lipo edition with electronics fully mounted?

2) What online company other than BMI direct sells BMI products, in particular the DB12 series?

3) What are the hot ESCs right now for 1/12?

4) For a budget racer, what should you look for at a minimum in a brushless ESC and motor combo for a 1/12?

5) where do you find that TQ cell booster, and is it better than the Novak unit?

6) Where can you purchase the Fantom 5000mah 1S battery pack at?

1) I finally got all my electronics so will post pictures as soon as I get them put in.

2) So far all I have found is Stormer Hobbies. Although most parts are on backorder.

3) Right now alot of guys are using the Tekin RS because they have developed new software to run single cell lipo. This combined with turbo boost makes this a good choice. You can also update this speedo as new software versions come out.

4) This depends on what classes are offered were you live. The club I race with uses a 10.5. I have found the Fantom motors to run well and seem to cost less than most.

5) The TQ booster can be bought from here. They are in Canada and it will take around a week to reach most locations in the USA.

6) Fantom products can be purchaced from Fantom direct or from Stormer Hobbies.

Hope this helps.

Here are a couple of pics, one is my original R car and one of my RR to illustrate two different types of electronics installed. The car with the Tekin has the TQ booster installed, its the small white item next to the receiver.
