NeeD Help with gearing please
 

Hi guys, very new to this so forgive me if this a total noob question.
I have an Xray T2.
spur gear is 112
I cut my foam tires to 55mm
and i have a novak 13.5 brushless with Sintered Rotor
what should my pinion gear be?
im using a 37 tooth now and its just doesnt seem fast enough.

I would start between a 44-46 pinion with 55mm tires.

thanks crash, what do you use to figure that stuff out?

I use and most everybody on here uses GEAR CHART

Pretty easy formula though:

tire size * 3.14 = A

Spur gear / Pinion Gear * Internal Drive Ratio = B

Then A / B = Rollout

Example:

55 * 3.14 = 172.7

112 / 44 * 1.7 = 4.33

172.7 / 4.33 = 39.88mm
