Default 52,000 RPM motor

Anybody heard about this Yokomo Twisters motor with 52,000 RPM? What turn of this motor can be?

52K????
I vaguely remember reading an article last year by Oscar Jensen (Team Orion) abt how he was winding Atsushi Hara's motors for a race in Japan. teh track was so big that very high rpm (abt 44K I think) and the motors heated up so much that that many racers experienced "boom boom" motors as they completed the race. The motors made "boom boom" sounds as the epoxy balancing failed at that high temp and rpm, the "boom boom" was caused by the unbalanced motors.

52K???? Hmmm I would think its a brushless motor.

Yeah, offhand I'd guess it'd take an 8 turn or so to hit 52,000rpm(at least on my Robitronics dyno at 7.5 volts). The best I've seen on mine is just over 50,000 with a P-94 10x2 I won from a Trinity factory driver(mine won't test motors much hotter than that, if the motor tries to draw many more amps than those, my Robi's battery won't be able to supply it & the dyno will abort the run, I got mine before they upgraded them to be more able to handle motors below 10 turns)....

Oh by the way in case you were wondering, in that race the reason the epoxy was coming off the windings is because they sustained that RPM for such a long time...the straight was huge. I assure you most 8 turns can pull over 50k rpm...
