Just got my Sp GT Speedo and now need to get a 10.5 motor rather urgently. I'm in the UK but no one here seems to have em. Any chance someone can point me in a direction of someone who can do rapid overseas delivery?

Cheers

Paul

The GT worked great up until the mains when for what ever reason it started to do this where it would stop for a second and then just start up again for no reason. When I had the car in my pit I could watch it run then when I would let off it would stop for a second then run backwards for a spilt second then go forward again. I tired a new receiver, extra cap, reset everything and still the problem was there. I dont know if I would have done any better in the mains but the car stopping on the track 2 or 3 times a lap didnt help me out much. When the speedo was working it was awesome but now I dont know it is just strange how this happened. Maybe I have a bad one aswell?
I have seen this happen on a Tekin R1. The problem was he was running an Orion motor without the sensor wire. Once he hooked up the wire the problem went away. Whenever possible I would always recommend running the sensor wire unless of course you're running a sensorless motor.

BTW, I don't know how many guys ran SP motors at the Novak race. What's the veredict though? Can these suckers keep up with the Novaks, Orions and LRP's. It seems like the 10.5 definitely can but what about the 13.5's?
Anyone?

Unless they have sold out in the UK office like us they should have some, I'll call them in the morning to make sure, and let you know in the morning.

Hello, I would like to try a SP2.5, after reading the technical specifications, I can see that have a lot more RPM and less power (myself only race with Nosram motors for now), I think that the power band is very different and that there must be quite a difference in the FDR with a LRP motors, is correct or not?
There is a lot of difference in consumption, with a 3.5 LRP?
I run with 5 cells, and rubber tires in asphalt.

Thank you, Luis C.

we don't keep track records anymore, but from what i can find. fastest single lap was 13.0 my best was a 13.1 using a LRP TC spec and novak 10.5. With the GT esc and SP 10.5 i cranked out a 12.8. yea, i'm very happy, so happy i just ordered 3 more SP motors of differing sizes.

All the rubber classes were at Novak had to use Novak motors. In the foam classes you could use whatever. Not many people in 13.5 and 10.5 I think used anything except Novaks. The motors really didn't arrive until the week of the race so many guys didn't risk running something new for a National race.

A lot of people are using them now at local tracks and having success.

Does the SpeedPassion GT ESC work well with brushed motors?
Anyone tested with brushed motors?

Piece o' cake !! Installed, programmed with Richie's numbers.

Bugged that the sensor loom is soooooo short. I plonked the speedo in with the sensor plug on the inside of the car to make the motor wires short, only to discover the non stretchability of that loom.

And them signal wires are sooooooo long!!

Damm, I'm just tooooo fussy.

Sounds teriffic zooming round the toy room. Testing Weds night at Big Dads.
