The 9.5's don't exist in my world, so you'll be waiting a LONG time for that backorder JayBee.

Or maybe Santa will show up around Tuesday next week

Shawn/Anyone,

Can you give me an idea of the footprint of the Speed Passion ESCs?

Trying to get an idea of the size compared to the Novak GTB.

Anyone knows how the low turns SP (3.5T-4.5T) performs with the mamba max speedo?

Feigao: 35mm x 39mm

GT: 31mm x 34mm

Born: Max w/3.5 & 4.5 - not quite. Castle is still working on sensor based motor software.

I thought that SP motors could work on sensored & sensorless mode like Orion-GM-Checkpoint
As for the Castle, for two years they are working on sensor based motor software and who knows for how long

The Feigao is the same size as a GTB. The SP is just a little longer then a LRP.

Who wants to buy a nice Novak GTB :P

Thanks Adrian. The fact Speed Passions are about the same size without the big fan is nice.

Shawn P,

Have you guys figured out a selling price yet for the S.Passion G.T. speed control and also the motors. Just trying to figure out how much money to set aside for purchase.

Wow, that's pretty good. Glad to hear that. One more question though is if anything should happen to the equipment how will the warrenty's be handled. Is Schumacher USA going to be handling that here or will they be shipped to wherever?

Thanks for the answers guys.

Warranty - still have not had a direct answer there, but I'll make sure they back us to my satisfaction as we take care of our customers.

After working at a company producing around 30,000 ESC's per month (yes, you read that right) I learned quickly that there's not much need for warranty rework on an ESC. It pretty much works right out of the box and keeps on working, or the magic smoke gets let out among the first few times you nail the throttle.

It's pretty simple - magic smoke out in the first few uses = new ESC for you. Magic smoke out several weeks/months later... we'll take that case by case and maybe have a "no questions asked " flat rate replacement price when you send a stinky one in to us.

Motors are a whole different story though - first time out and overgeared to the moon = dead melted motor. Like I've talked about above - BL motors are extremely simple machines, and are easy to burn up if you're not paying attention. Gear ratio "X" might be just fine for a 5 min race, but practice for 10 min on a lipo pack could toastify things in a hurry.

So I'll ask everyone here what would you expect for a SP motor warranty/replacement policy? I think I can count the Mamba motors I got back from customers during 3 years at Castle on two hands, but they were a little more difficult to overpower than race motors. Let me know what you think.

Good to see an open policy about this

I dont think nobody expects for you to replace melted motors. But i would like to see some warranty on broken sensors

(i dont know why i bothered to answer this, im not even in US)
