Your computer, cell phone, TV, and new full size auto are all obsolete once you buy them.
How many onroad cars has TAMIYA brought out in the last few years? I don't know the number but I know they have alot of cars out.
Xray is a race car company. They build race cars. All racing is about taking things to the "next level".
Like others have said, if you don't like it, don't buy one. I know some guys running FK05 still and very close to 007 pace.

no bitterness here.just stating facts.if you chose to take offense to that you are entitled to.i understand you run for them and want to support them.its getting a little funny how you jump on any thread that has anything but comments praising them for there accomplishments and call them i hate xray threads.my time to be bitter was when i gave a crap and followed what they came out with.all i was saying here is that every time xray releases a new car,a thread pops up here about the same question and the same answers also.it is no surprise to me.if they are great,if not,great.as for the 1/12th,i hope they do also,the only question is who will they copy.

I feel sorry for companies like XRAY, they just can't win with some customers.
If they launch a new product one year after the previous version (which XRAY have been doing FOREVER in case you hadn't noticed), they get flamed for trying to cash in.
If a company DOESN'T release a new car every year, customers complain that they are being left behind on the track or that the manufacturer doesn't support the platform.
You can't have your cake and eat it.
More to the point, it is YOUR problem if you honestly think that you are going to lose out because someone has the '08 version of a car when you only have the '07.
If your car runs well and you drive well the '08 version will likely be worth so little time per lap that you would need to be international standard to tell the difference.
In fact locally the original T2 has proven to be a better performer out of the box than the T2'007. And there are still people running competitively with the old high-layshaft T1's.

if i was making xray kits,they would be mentioned.i am finished with correcting there problems.and hell,if i remember correctly,you always seem to be asking for my kits.if you dont like my kits bro,quit asking me for them.
