Difficult to say, but I with a Monster I'd start with a final drive of 7.00:1 to 7.5:1 & see what happens(it's always best to start conservatively). Go ahead & try it for a practice run, & look for where on track your car tops out(if it tops out, if it doesn't seem to, then you could be overgeared), & also feel the motor right after the run(if it's too hot or the comm is turning dark & the brushes are turning blue or purple then you should try going down a tooth or 2 on the pinion). Then once you're happy with it on the speed sections, concentrate on how well it accelerates out of tighter corners, if it seems to bog out of those corners then you may wanna go down another tooth in pinion or go up if you feel you have plenty of punch & want more top end. If you still have any doubts, the best people to ask are the guys at your local track, they'll know more about it than any of us will online....

i havent tried the monster but i was told to use a 34-36 pinion and a 86 spur. you will get tones of speed. you should ask your club members about tuning your motors. once it is tuned it can be as fast as a 13 turn. sounds wrong i kinda beleive it. you will be the fastest car there.

im planning to get one myself and im a newbie. i got 1st the last 3 races and only raced about 5. im planning to move up to stock.
