Default JACO Premounted Tires

Just what we need $40 premounted tires, way to go Jaco. You would think that some company would realize that they could dominate the market if they could sell $20 premounted tires.

And RP's are how much a set? Hmm....retail of them is 45.00 as well. CS-27's Retail for 40.00. Whats your point here? You start a thread just to flame Jaco for bringing out a new tire that is the same price as everyone elses? Doesnt make much sense to me but to each his own. If I am not mistaken the dealer cost on Jaco's are the same or slightly less than the others.....so it could be the dealers taking advantage of a hot new product.

I think the last sets you have cost you like $0. You should be thanking the ones paying $40 a set because it helps make up for all of your free ones. J/K

Not syaying that $40 is right or wrong, but you should take a minute to think through the numbers to see if it is justified. If you work the numbers backwards, a $40 retail price item cost the hobby shop anywhere from $25 to $30 from the distributor plus shipping. The distributor needs to make a profit and will pay anywhere from $18 to $20. The manufacturer has the shipping costs to the distributor, packaging, raw materials, over head, advertising, insurance, and all the free stuff they give to sponsored drivers to cover. If they are going to make any money they need to be able to make the $40 retail item for about $8. That includes the molds which can costs thousands of dollars per wheel/tire.

So, for a company to come along with a $20 set, they would have to make them for a whopping $4 a set. Hmmmmmmmmmm....$40 does not sound too bad to me for what you get. And everyone wonders why the little guys can't survive in the industry?

If they made the tires better maybe they will stay fast longer. That would save $. Won't know till they are out though. Might be a lot easier to get them also. And if tower sells them you can get the discounts.

Tools are the ones that would pay $40 dollars for a set of tires.

The tires we have today are so much better than what you would have say...10 years ago. The tires are made more to preform well, as long as your running the correct compound for the corresponding track temperature, you should get some really good runs.

no one says you gotta run 1 run tires...if eveyone is running rp30's that are 1 runs maybe you should run 36's....they may be faster but you will have just as much fun at a fraction of a price

That is easily the most ignorant comment I may have ever heard.
