There should be 3 wires together that plug into the reciver as normal and a wire on its own that is either conected to a 7.2V FET wire on your ESC or if you dont have a FET wire you can connect it to the positive of your batteries.

thanks ian, just one question it doesnt matter if the voltage is higher than 7.2? a charged pack is a little higher wont that harm the servo?
thanks

Thats what i initially thought but people i know have been running them that way for years so it can't do any damage to the servo.

I can confirm this. Besides, if you measure the voltage from a FET wire on a ESC, you'll discover that it simply the voltage from the main battery going straight through. However, there might be a choke coil inside the ESC. The choke coil is there for protecting the servo against against spikes. A shoke coil can be bought separately. If you like, I can find out the value.

Okay, it's colour coded like resistors - unfortunately it's many years since I worked with electronics, so I cant remember the codes. Anyway, here goes:

yellow - brown - gold - silver
