Hmmmmmmmmmm....sure miss seeing my name in that list! Oh well, it happens when you get old and slow. Maybe a come back is in order? Will my 3300's be good enough for Cleveland?

The only problem I've ever noticed is that when WE marshall for whatever class it is that's unlucky enough to be the ones that follow us. you know, we sometimes tend to be a little slower getting to the cars what with us using our canes and walkers and other helpful devices!

I like racing with people better than me. It helps me get better. All the big races are suposed to be the best in the world. So you should expect that when you go to one.

No matter how fast you are there will always be someone faster.

Factory Masters sounds good.

While we're at it, let's add:

Rubber Factory Stock Brushless
Foam Novice Stock LiPo
Pneumatic Sportsman 19T Hamster-wheel
Mod TC3 Racers from Arkansas with Orange HPI Mustang bodies

Anybody who wants to futher segregate the classes by moving the fast guys away from the rest (and make more classes) should read that quote.

This is competition...not kiddie-league soccer where even last place gets a trophy.

I agree with you. If 50 guys show up to race in 12 different classes. That puts 4-5 guys in each race, boring. Narrow down the classes. Like they were before to make 8-10 heats with the possibility of ending up in the B and C main. Racers now have something to race for.

Newcomers read more classes and it seems harder for them to know which class they belong in. They think that if they can't figure out what class they belong in. They surely won't know how to compete with the guys in thier race.

Last year at KO Propo's Grand Prix. I spoke to one racer that didn't want to show up on first day of the two day event. He was so confident he would be in the main. He said he could make the main with just Sunday's qualifing run. They had 11 guys in that class I came to find out. Everyone made the A main. He had no insentive to want to qualify on Saturday. That is what is wrong with racing today.

I understand skill level may slow down as we get older but if guys are racing at the same skill level as the rest of the class, they don't need to be put in a different class. Leave the Masters Class for golf. What is needed is new blood in the hobby not more classes.

Just my thoughts.

I agree... My "cat like reflexes" are almost as quick as they were when I was in my teens!!! Which would have been about 40 years ago.
