Default Battery lifespan?

Its a newbie question: If I charge/ discharge/ and equalize my battery properly, how long can a pack last? Also do I have to equalize Nimh cells as well?

Thanks

With "proper use", nicds will last damn near forever. I have proof. I believe there is a method out there for the nimh. Just nobody has found it yet. If they do, or did find it, they will never give it up. With nimh, just plan to buy a new pair of batteries each year.

well forever but you'll notice a performance drop after a bit and because of the contact nature of RC the plates will eventually whack into each other which again will cause the battery to fail.

in normal usage i reckon you could get about 100 cycles out of them. but thats just my opnion.
