Sandor - can't help on Quantum setup, but automatic brake (same as drag brake) is a driving style thing - puts a little bit of braking on when the throttle is in neutral.

I personally don't use the brakes at all, trying to set my car up to roll and carry speed round the corners, rather than need to be slowed down.

I just got my Quantum Sport ESC...

I installed in my HPI micro...and try to run it...and i notice there is a high pitch noise...is this normal...

the noise only sounds when the car is slow going...then at high speed...i could still hear it....

its kinda loud compare to my cyclone...

anybody know why this is happening??
or is nothing wrong?

Thats 40 degress celcius, uve got to remember that that's the internal temperature of the FET's, if u feel the top of it after a race it feels barly warm.

Hi Ian,

I don't have a problem with either the V-Extreme nor the V-Extreme 2002 and i run my touring in a country where Sorex 40R is the normal tire and even then the ground may sometimes get a little to hot. The speedo will handle even up to 8 turns and no problem at all.

Cheers

any of you guys use a futaba mc330 (rated at 13 turns max)?
will it handle dual mabuchi 540 motors? can it be used on a monster truck with no overheating problems?
thanks for any info

Dudes,
Anyone have the manual for this ESC or can give me rough guide how to use it? I figured out how to set the esc for forward/brake, but have yet to figure out how to set the punch level and other functions.

Thanks!
