man, already...

The Quantum Sport has way lower spec than the Competition...

but I'm not using it on 1/10, I'm just going to use it on the 1/18 HPI micro...

so I think it will stay up... I hope.

I'm gonna try the Q.Sport as well for my Micro. Except I'm gonna de-case it and either epoxy it or heat shrink it. Will make a much smaller ESC than the Orion Flash!

I once read that removing the solid plastic cases on modern speedo's and heatshrinking them was a bad idea because the shrink would create static which interferes with the microchips or whatever in the high-frequency controllers.

Don't know if it's true though.

hey KilRuf, i think the Quantum Sport is small enough already. You really don't have to decase it...

I wouldn't decase it....I think that would void the warranty and then when that speedo breaks, which it will since its an LRP, you won't get your money back.

I really don't care for warranties and never have. I figure if I break it, it's my fault. And I'll buy something different. Just my view of things. I'll have to see when I get one just how small and how tall it is before I make any decisions.

As for the V12xc, I've never really ran a Quan. Comp. So I can't compare. But my V12xc is a very very nice speedo once you learn how to program it. The bad translated instructions can be confusing. I also placed a bigger cap for more punch.

Because I had to send two back to LRP because they would not work properly. Is that clear now?

I have three quantums (2 competition and 1 sport for my MicroRS4) one Competitition (one of the first units) came with metallized undercover, but installing and deinstalling with double sided tape wiped off any rest of metallized surface.

The other two quantums, comes with a blue plastic undercover without blue metallized surface.

All three were bought at the same store and I don't have any doubt of their authenticity.

Just installed my new Quantum competition. What is a good setup for mod touring car racing with a 12T limit. (my current setup is 4-5-0)

Is the automatic brake used in mod???

Thanks

Problems: zero. I have unsoldererd the original wires and soldered the ones that came with the MicroRS4.

I'm planning on bolting a big block to my Micro... I need more speed
