The reason for lower price, because here we have limited racer/market and a lot of shops/distributors. So they lower the price to compete each other.
why would anyone open a hobby shop if the market is small ?
the profit would be too small for the overhead.

i was there in jkt when my dad was an ambassador couple years ago, the r/c prices were cheap compared to the US.

Small in quantity (the number of the racer) but not for quality (many racer has unlimited budget). for example : One of my friend (both with his son) have like 20 3000's batteries, 15 2400's and 20 2000's batteries... WOW. every 3-4 national series they change to new car and also buy new battery, etc...etc....

But believe me, I'm not that kind of person..hehe...

Is he good at it ? I bet he gets his ass spanked thus, he needs to get a new car every other races. So he has an excuse if somehow he gets a DNF. "It must be the car" or "Oh, I still can't get the right setup since it is a new car."

joyrider, imataquito : Yes he is our winner ( in C or D main, hehe... ), his driving is not bad (pretty good/average).... but his wallet is REALLY GREAT ( maybe he sponsored by MasterCard, LOL ). He never got the perfect setup, because he always change car... Big spender but not true racer... LOL

to any guys that got the LRP quantum ESCs...

do you guys buy the Heat sink kit for it.... is it alot better to use a heat sink...but they stated it runs cool without the heatsink...

i dont know why they have a kit for heatsink when they say you dont need it....

I was just wondering if any body uses it for the micro...?

Daniz,
HAhahahahahah... ya look at masami hes been using the same car - a YOK all these while thats why hes soo good well maybe different yoks but same design -just bits of improvement here and there ...... he kinda knows how the car behaves inside out !

Sometimes i wish i was not a student who has a limited budget ...
then maybe i could upgrade myself from C mains to maybe A or B

my best finish was open stock, 4th in the A-mains and thats ONCE ONLY that ONCE lol... - naw dont laugh i brought 1 1700scr tamiya stock packs and 2 1400sp stick pack i left my a 2000stick and a 2400stick at home cause i was in a big hurry
they were fully charged up just placed in diff but identical bags - guess i screwed up big time

bought a 17 turn sealed endbell stock motor could have bought a 15 turn like everyone was using but LHS was out of stock

i almost went home cause i arrived late - no time 4 anything else cept to join 1st qualifier ( it was stock qualifier 1st) and i forgot my newer batt packs and i had a slower motor.
speaking of bad race day.

but then again i thought since i have signed up so why not ....... just enjoy the race no preassure. pluz its also its a fairly new sv10 2 car 4 me then .. only bout 2 months old and 3 times on the track
at worst i would finish with some younger kids and maybe last of all

but i was pretty sure i was gona qualify because most oF the fast guys -( the olderWOLF's/'BuAya' ) are mostly in mod class and theres only 2 of em playing stock together with mod ..

WOW i was suprised i did soo well qualified 7th -2nd heat and finished in mains 4th -Plain JUCK
and also thanks to a fellow racer who lent me his 2400packs 4 the mains -he finished 2nd
his batts alowed me to gear up and still make time

Now my ESC kinda lost its 'JUICE' thast why i m looking for a New one and i m leaning towords GMv12XC and slowly maybe opgrade to some other higher end stuff

For TC; Masami is Yokomo and Yokomo is Masami. If someone gave me a blank piece of paper to design and modify a car...... I too would drive that car to death and no other!!!!
