Default 1/12 esc

So what do you guys recommend for 1/12 scale, I'm about to receive a 12L3, but I'm not sure which speedo I should get. I've been looking at 3, the TC2, the Atom and the Quantum Competition. I'm straying towards the Novak's, because I already own a cyclone TC, and a pit wizard, so I think it might be worth it to say with novak, they seem to be relieable.

i am mostly assure that i wont go for the atom. it is everything half of a cyclone but pricewise almost the same.

I will consider to use cyclone instead.

I have a V12xc, but I've never heard of a V12 burning up. That's new to me. So I dunno. I run mine with the Novak Cap (4700) and I've run a modest mod (10t) with no problems what-so-ever. You've got me on that one. Maybe it's because I run a Yokomo! They tend to go together! I'll let yall know if I ever "fry" mine.

You guys heard any problems with the LRP Quantum competition ESC. I have one and am using it in stock sedan. It seems that it stutters at the beginning when I am taking off or coming out of the corner. I have tried it with 3 different motors so I don't think it is the motor.

I did put a small ESC capacitor inline between the pos and neg and it seems to help a little.

To me, it seems that the more amps the motor tries to pull upon take-off, the worse the stuttering is?

Any ideas.

Sounds like glitching(your reciever) is it am? O and I've heard of quantum comp blowing up. Put 3 caps on the motor and a scotty doide(or however you spell it) and it might help, also check your reciever.

I was told that the quamtum competition ESC has some QC problem before they were shipped out. You need to have the LHS to test run the ESC with a hot turn motor on the spot so that you can avoid to get a "Lemon" ESC. the bad ESC symptom will get hot very soon with a hot turn motor.

Hi, I have the GM12WE that has a 7 turn limit.
The question is, what if I use an 8 turn motor and bump up a tooth on a pinion, would that exceed the esc motor limit ?
