Actually an LHS here sells them, but quite a few racers here tell me they are not legit.

Also, I hardly hear about ppl talk about Schulz stuff here, mostly like Novak or LRP, so I'm curious.

I haven't either, but given the choice I'd pick the GM V12XC. I like the idea of the current limiter able to be disabled at full throttle, and current limited while on less-than-full-throttle.

Can the novak or lrp esc do that? I didn't read about such a feature on their site.

EDIT: Currently using a G12C, somehow with the current limiter enabled, my top end is cut. Anyone know why or is it simply so? But it's a simply one push setup esc, no qualms for a newbie.

You could try replacing the brake FETs. If that doesn't work then you would have to be pretty good at electronics to diagnose!

I've also heard that there's an esc out there that's illegal for racing, don't remember the name but it's probably the one your talking about.

Alvin, I have both of those CS Speedo's that mentioned earlier. They work great, only issue I had with them... the switch quit working.

Alvin-

The CS speed controllers are legal for racing. I use the CS RocketMax in my touring car. I'm very happy with it, the only negative thing about it is that it won't work on four cells without an additional receiver pack.

The only speed controls I've ever heard about being illegal are the GMASP series because they do some of the driving for you.

I ordered mine from Adrian M. at Schumacher USA. If I remember right it was right around $150 or so.

I'll bet a bunch of people will disagree with me, but if I had to pick the very best ESC ever it would be the Tekin G9 Supersonic.

If you take the ESC to any component electronic store they should be able to get the spec from the numbers printed on them..... whether they have them in stock is another matter!
